Xpress X18 w/ Yamaha 90, enough power?

I am seriously considering a 2004 Xpress X18 (hyperlift hull) with a Yamaha 90 2-stroke. I will be carrying a min of 2 people (just under 400 lbs total) and sometimes 3 (roughly 600 lbs total). Would I have enough power with a 90 or should I try to find something with at least a 115? I'm not a speed freak so if I could cruise at around 35-40mph without too much strain then that would be sufficient.

Anyone know what the max rated horsepower is for this boat?

One of my coworkers has the same boat but a 2001 model with a 150 yamaha. I've never seen it run but from what I've heard from him and other witnesses in the office it practically breaks the sound barrier, hits 70 with hardly any effort. I'm not looking to go anywhere near that speed (especially in the log-ridden atchafalya basin where most of my fishing will be done). So hopefully the 90 is plenty.

You should be able to hit forty with that rig. I have the 20ft with the 115 fourstroke, 6 people in it today on a rough lake hit 40mph.
