I bought a used Grady White last year.(Fiberglass hull) Had it in a slip from end of May thru Sept.(fresh water) with no noticeable alge/slime built up on it. I'm thinking I need to repaint it, but how do I identify what type of bottom paint is presently on it. When dry, I can rub my fingers on it and quite a chalky power transfers over. Also, there are areas that kind of look like a wooden house that has been scraped for repainting, but not sanded/feathered. Most of the bottom looks rough and unslightly, although one one will actually see it once in the water. So, given this description, does it sound like it could be hard paint or an ablative, or perhaps is there not enough info in the description to make that determination. Thanks
