Hi, I'm doing a bunch of work on my 19' Larson 186 SEI bowrider. I want to replace the captain's chair -- it's currently a pedestal mounted bucket seat with no bolster (has slider base with 5x12 mounting holes). I find myself standing quite often anyway, so I'd like to find a bolster to get an additional 8" or 9" of height. Since I do most of the driving, I'd like to find something comfortable.
I've looked at a number of places online, including iboats.com, but I have no idea of the quality or comfort of any of the brands. I found a number of OEM seats on Ebay in my price range (about $300-$325) but all of them want $100-$150 in in shipping. Iboats has many that are in that price range (or below) and the shipping costs are much more reasonable (e.g., $50). I'm not familiar with any of the brands, though. Does anyone here have first hand experience with seats made by Wise or Attwood? I'm looking at seats like this.
