I found a 1999 Twin Vee center console bay-type boat for sale. The asking price is $3000. It has a 1999 50hp Nissan outboard. What would you think the boat is worth?

Twin Vee is an awsome boat. unless it is 14 feet long I think 50 hp is kinda under powered.
How about a photo , more info, a link to what it is.

I don't know twin v, but I have a 17' bay boat with a 70. I think 50 is light, too, but depends on the use. Back when this was the family boat, for skiiing and carrying several people, 70 was fine but now I usually have one or two for short trips for transportation and would repower with a 50 if the deal was good. However I run a 19' carolina skiff with a 50 just fine. It's all about the bottom and the weight.

If it's operating well, $3000 sounds OK for a 1999 CC, maybe a little high.

I looked up this boat on the Twin-V site. 17' Bay Cat. I couldn't find the specs anywhere (weird). The factory offers a choice of only 2 engines- 50 or 60 hp, so I guess it's a fairly light, flat, easy planing hull. You'll need to try it, but appears that 50 hp will move it fine.

I wish everybody who posts would include their location... if it's clean and in good shape $3K would be a good price around here, especially if it came with a trailer. But everything depends on your local market, wherever that is.
