Battery cover for Seaswirl Tempo

Hey there,

I have a 1990 Seaswirl Tempo with an outboard Evinrude, and I want to track down or make a new cover for the battery compartment. See that battery and fuel filter? I'm told that the boat came with some sort of curtain that covered the compartment, you can see the buttons that it uses to attach, but I'm having trouble finding one. Any ideas?

(I promise this is an old pic and I don't keep the boat that messy)

Looks like it had a curtain hanging there, and you should be able to find the snaps at any apholstery shop.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... Either make 1, or have it made,...
you ain't gonna find an original just layin' around....

Even if ya did, the snaps probably wouldn't match...

Well then, if I'll be building my own, does anyone have ideas for making a darn good snap on cover? I don't want to settle for just a flimsy curtain.
