1948 century resorter

hello,
i might buy a 1948 century needs more wood work, finishing, motor set,trims set....motor is a rebuilt v8/1968 still crated all pieces seam there though im sure some will end up needing to be replaced. the guy wants 10k it was his project hes giving up on but i am seeing finished boats similar years going for that seams a bit high to me. what you think?

Seven or eight years ago that would have been a reasonable price. With the depression the USA is in now classic boat prices have dropped a lot. Offer him $5k if you like the boat.

yeah thats what i was thinking . thanks. ill let him sit with it a little longer then offer it to him. ill have to check out the work he did and make sure its good too might need to back track on the project. ill take some pics next time im over.
