My 25 year old Cadorette Cuddy cabin cruiser has aluminum trim around the windows with a black rubber insert ( I guess it hides the screws?). This rubber has shrunk leaving 1" gaps at the ends which a previous owner filled in with caulk. Looks really bad!
I read somewhere that rubber trim can be softened and stretched by boiling in water with some vegetable oil added.
Has anyone tried this??
Anyone have any other remedies?
