I recently purchased a 1997 Thompson 260 fisherman, it came with a short shore power cord, but I cannot find where it plugs in on the boat. Do I have shore power? Does anyone know where it may be located? Thanks

Re: shore power

I would say yes you do have shore power. I would look on the outside coloums of your cabin. You could try to trace down the wiring if it can't find it by browsing over the outside.

Re: shore power

Just because there was a shore power cord onboard at purchase does not necessarily mean you have shore power on the boat...just saying. But for the sake of trying to be helpful, I would suggest you look for the electrical breaker panel on the vessel. If you find it, I guarantee the shore power connector is very nearby!

Can you ask the previous owner?

Re: shore power

The prior owner had the cord on board so he could plug into short power and then connect his coffee pot, TV or whatever to the cord. No service entrance panel involved. But check around the exterior of the boat for the shore power connector. If there is one it should be VERY obvious.
