New mooring/cockpit cover

I have had a sunbrella cockpit cover for at least the past 10 years. It was made of sunbrella and has given me better service than I could have ever hoped for. But time and UV have taken its toll and it is time to replace. I have a guy who makes custom covers and he is recommending a couple of other materials. Top Gun / sunbrella / brand x.

Does anyone have experience with some of the new materials and feel comfortable making a recommondation or at least sharing their experience with materials for this type of service.

Wouldn't recommend anything other than Sunbrella. If you want to get fancy go with Sunbrella Plus or mebbe step up to Sunbrella Supreme?
