Hi guys

I am probably wanting the impossible I am looking at getting a new sports boat/cuddy

I ideally want twin engine somthing like 350Mags

25-29 foot long

Weighing no more than 7000lbs

1998-2006

The nearest thing I can find is a chaparral 285ssi but is just too heavy to tow here in the UK

Thanks
Si

Sorry to say, those twin engines on a 29 ft boat add up to too much weight reguardless of manufacture. you would have to go outboard motor to save weight, but you probably would also be too heavy. I recomend if you want a boat that size to find a boat yard or slip.

My 25 foot single engine cuddy weighs in at 6000, no way to to get 7000 and twins.

The Monterrey 298SC is an awesome twin engine sport cruiser. Too heavy for your needs, but a great boat.

7000lb tow weight is going to be really tough with twins. About the closest I can think of off the top of my head would be a 1991-1993 Welcraft 26 Nova. 5500lbs dry weight with twin 350MAG. http://wellcraft.com/index.php/resources/information/1993 Scroll down for a link to the datasheet.
Even with a light weight aluminum tandom axle trailer (aprox 1600lb for an EZ Loader brand trailer) you'll still be over 7000lbs without any gear or fuel.

You mentioned "sports boat". What about something like a Donzi or Baja? The performance boats seem to be a little lighter.
