Moeller Marine Fuel Line Primer Bulb

hello, not sure about this, so, I changed the primer bulb uesing Moeller 3/8 bulb. took the boat out and when running I saw the bulb was collapse, I pumped it back then the same thing happen again. The outboard still ran with the bulb collapse. never saw this happen. HELP!

Your Tank-Vent was probably closed.

That would be my guess as well. The bulb will go soft while running but should not collapse.
