On my tin fishing boat, I want to attach a swivel seat to the back.

Any suggestions on attaching the bracket?

The seats on the boat are the standard aluminum seats full of flotation. Can I just use large screws and not bolt and washer the end?

Ideas? Pics?

Tx.

Joe.

Yeah, starting work on my old tin boat for fishing season starting April 24.....

J

Re: How to attach swivel seat?

Joe, my brother has recently fitted a swivel seat to his rear fixed bench, he bought a bracket that clamps onto the bench, the bracket then accepts up to 2 swivel seats. Its very neat and no screws required. It is also easily removable (that could be a good and bad feature). Aldo

Re: How to attach swivel seat?

I have a jon boat that I mounted seats front and rear. I used a piece of alu. 1/8 th thick slightly larger than the round base of the pedestal seat base, and riveted it to the bench then used skrews thru all to mount base. overkill? maybe but they have'nt budged in 16years of very hard abuse.
