Bow light recommendations for 15' Lowe fishing boat

Morning all:

I have a 15' Lowe fishing boat which has bow and stern light receptacles. I'm looking to get a bow light for night-time fishing. I was looking at GoLight Gobee stanchion-mount remote spotlight. I have read reviews that the light causes fuses to blow frequently. I would assume that the navigation lights which came with my boat would draw much less current than a spotlight and as such, I'm concerned that I would have the same problems.

Any experience out there with the GoLight stanchion-mount spotlight? It seems to be a pretty good alternative to a hand-held spot for docking or low speed operations.

Thanks,

Chris

lights mounted to the bow get kicked off and jammed under piers. I'd look for something removable

you also need to look at the wiring ,if your wiring is under size for the load it will melt.

Don't use the navigation socket for that light, you are going to need it for navigation.

Add a second socket, with the appropriate sized wiring, fuse, and switch, completely independent of the nav light.
