I took the old livewell pump out of my transom today. I tested it directly to a battery and was in bad shape. The inlet on it ( the threaded part that goes through the transom ) has a 1" outside diameter. Is that the common size for inlets on livewell pumps for all brands? I'm trying to find one online to order but they don't describe the inlet size. It does say that the outlet size fits a 3/4" hose. Any body know? Do any of you have a preference on brand of pumps. I have a small 16 foot boat. I'm looking at a 500gph livewell pump. The one I took out was a basspirator. I think I'll get a cartridge type. thanks
