purchase of 20ft skipjack flybridge

I am looking at purchasing a 20 ft skipjack for 5400.00 it has a newly rebuilt engine.new compass,new upholstery trailer rollers, I am having a hard time identifying the year. Is this a good price? They have a great reputation I have heard. Any thoughts? Thanks Jeff

Hey jeff. yes they have a great reputation. "Skippys" are highly sought after and retain value. Any pics? More info on engine/drive package? Where are you?

I think its a 1980? 265 hp ford v8 286 volvo penta I am going to look at it in a few minutes NADA says 3,500.00 value? I am kind of leaery of this purchase

I am selling my Skipjack in excellent conditions. I don't have time to use it anymore. I spent more money then what I am selling for. Price is firm. I am not in a hurry to sell the boat and would like to find time to enjoy it this summer. This boat is built for fishing. If you looking for a cruising boat, then this boat is not your type.

Willing to trade for a center console, searay, baliner trophy, seawirl, or wellcraft of equal value. I need a lighter or smaller size boat to park on my lot. Email me your boat pictures or if it listed on Craiglist let me know so I can take a look. I am also willing to trade for a 4 door sedan (Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura) of equal value.

8) 280 Volvo Penta Outdrive.

Well I found the add on Craig's list. Pretty good looking machine. I like her. The only issue I have is parts for Ford marine engines. The Volvo Outdrive is bullet proof although they can be expensive. You should search the I/O section for info on the drive and probably the engine too. Other than that, no warning bells going off for me. Seems like a solid boat and solid owner.
