morse incom control

Anyone have a diagram of the morse incom side mount control? What is happening is that it acts like a return spring is broken if you pull out on the throttle lever to get it to go into warm up position without engaging the drive it works fine. You pull the lever back to neutral and it acts like it doesnt spring back. What happens then it doesnt engage the drive it just revs the engine like in warm up position. We have to push the lever back in pretty hard to get it to engage the gears to engage the drive when we push the lever forward. One it engages its fine and will run through the entire forward or reverse motion. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it needs to be cleaned and lubed. There are probably no diagrams but maybe an exploded view for parts. You might want to post a photo and possibly a member will recognize it.
