1962 Glasspar Avalon

Let me start off by saying, I know nothing about boats. I have inherited a Glasspar Avalon boat from my Grandparents and I need to get rid of it. I am pretty sure it is a 1962. It has a 35hp Evinrude Lark motor, which to my knowledge, has not been started in over 35 years. The boat has been sitting in the garage for at least the last 35 years. For being almost 50 years old, the boat seems to be in remarkable shape. It has four seats which fold down into two benches. The seats have no rips or tears, they just need to be cleaned. They also appear to have been wrapped in plastic. Any idea what I should be asking for it? I have added one image below and added several links to others. Thanks for your help.

Wow that thing is a time capsule. I'd put some effort into really shining it up. It will definitely help you sell it. Being in unknown (not) running conditon will hurt you. Very few boats are particularly collectible but that one is very cool. I'd start at $2000 and see if you get any offers.

One more thing, the boat is 16ft. After I clean it up a bit and retake pictures, where would be the best place to try to sell it? Thanks again for any help.

goldenstateglassics.com or fiberglassics.com would be the first place's that I would post a ad.or go to for info. There are collectors on those sites that may have more of a idea what she is worth.

THAT is a good looking old boat. I believe I'd be VERY TEMPTED to keep it if I was you !!
