I have noticed this season after flushing head bowl empty I get some bubbles coming back through in bottom of the bowl. Most recently flushing solid waste is becoming increasing difficult along with even more bubbling (yuk) It does eventually flush bowl out completely.

Question is it the joker valve (max two years old) or partially blocked vent?

That's possible, but have you checked the vent line and thru hull from your holding tank? If the vent is not open, it's difficult to flush and water/air will come back into the bowl because your holding tank is being pressurized.

If you have a filter in the vent line, it may be plugged.

Re: Jabsco Head Question:

The problem seems to have been a partially clogged vent and a piece of debris stuck in the joker valve replace both.
