Need help from Triton boat owners

I just recently purchased a 2006 Tr-20X BMC Edition. When I look in the two livewells, the one on the starboard side has a black ball at the top of the overflow, water can run past it but not very fast, on the port side there is no such ball, can someone tell me the story here. Is this right or not?

figured it out, was a old ball from a culling system that fit perfectly into the drain tube.
