Hi All,
I just bought a 20ft Alumaweld Stryker and need to install a fishfinder and remote controls for a trolling motor. Problem is: starboard side box at transom which has main engine cables etc running thru it is full of some kind high density foam (probably for floatation).
I am tempted to dig it out of there, install a conduit for my cables and fill it up again with foam.
Do I need this foam? Is there a better way to do this? I could really use some advice from the very wise folks here.

Thanks

Jerry
