Anchor Rode

I have a Lewmar Windlass and appropriate rode/chain. The splice from rope to chain splice needs to be re-done........it slips in the gypsy of the windlass.

Does anyone have a website with detailed instructions of this type of splice? I think it's called a backwards splice????
