I have a 1972 Lund 14' Aluminum boat and am in the process of doing some modifications. A couple members here warned me about weight and I am trying to figure out the capacity of my boat.

My sticker stating it is gone, but wanted to know if anyone here had a similar type of boat and what the weight capacity is. Thanks for your help.

I would go to the Lund web site and find one close to your and see
what it say about them.

I checked the Lund site and didn't see the info under specifications. They have the hp rating but not weight capacity.

It's probably rated in the ballpark of 750lbs if I had to guess.

Looked in the Lund catalog, they list the capacities as
A14 785 lbs, WC14 1000 lbs, and SSV14 915 lbs.

I'd say that the last few posts have plainly shown that you can't go by the rating of another boat based on length... width hull design and freeboard all factor in.... there is a plain and simple formula to figure it out.... google it
