Boat Cover Tie-down straps - Taylor Made

Hi
I purchased a Taylor Made boat cover 17 footer and the tie-down straps are a real pain. The 1" webbing that you loop around the edge of the trailor then back through the loop in the cover. The problem is the buckle. Both ends of the webbing goes thru the back of the buckle then back thru the front of the buckle. Very difficult to put-on and take-off.

Does anyone know where i can get replacement buckles that work better ? Maybe a snap buckle on a dog collar.

Thanks in advance.

don't know about your cover, but mine came with some kinda funky straps too. looked pretty painful to use them so i never have. figured me a way to use bungee cords instead. that has worked good for me. don't know if you can apply it to yours or not.

The nylon cord that came with mine works superb!

Thanks.

I thought about using bungies, but it seems a waste to toss those webbing straps.

Go to a camping store or outdoor outfitter and you will find the snap buckles you are asking about. Like REI or CAMPING WORLD.
