I have a chance to purchase a used Seastar Pro helm with a HC5345 steering cylinder. I see on the Teleflex website that the Honda 130 requires the HC5347 cylinder. Is the 5347 actually engineered differently or just a 5345 with some different mounting hardware? Can an adaptor kit be purchased (or made) for mounting a 5345 on a Honda 130?

Thanks,
Tim

Re: Hydraulic steering for Honda 130

The SEASTAR system is made primarily for motors in excess of 150? h.p.
The BAYSTAR is for those motors less than the 150?
I think you might just be getting the two confused and that would make your numbers all screwy.
The hp rating is either for the 150 or 130 - I'll dig around and find out for sure.

The BayStar Compact Hydraulic steering cylinder is ideal for small to medium outboard powered boats to 150 horsepower. The HC4645H cylinder replaces the older HC-4600 cyl. that is discontinued
