I have a 98 Larson with a 3.0ltr engine and a Volvo Penta outdrive. To some of you, this may be a stupid question, however, this is the first one of these critters i have ever owned. My outdrive is a SX-Cobra. Where, and how much oil do I put in the lower unit? Also, what is the best type oil to use.

Factory GL5 75/90 wt (I think).

You add it thru bottom screw and add it until comes out the vent under the shift linkage cover. Don (freq poster and mod here) has placed the factory manuals here somewhere, do a search and happy reading. Never trust aftermarket manuals, OEM is only way to go.
