Kayak Question scupper ,pelican castaway

I have a pelican castaway fishing kayak.I took it out the other day and the scuppers are leaking,in 30 min. it will get so much water in it that I have to go to shore and let it drain for about 20 min. The kayak is a 2 piece and where the upper and lower meet in the scuppers there is a gap between the too.Is there something I can do to fix it?The bottom of the kayak is shaped weird where the scuppers are so I can not use scupper plugs.
