I have a Fireboy-Xintex gas fume detector ( MR1) on my boat. When I press the test button the red light comes on but there is no audible alarm. Shouldn't the alarm sound when I press the test button? If so, how do I get it to work properly?
How long are you holding the test switch? Yes and no. Do you have the M 1 R or the MB 1 R? In either case, the red light should light up and if you have the MB1, the blower should come on. Hold the test button for 10-15 seconds and then the horn should come on.
