We are new boaters renovating a 26 foot Campion. We want to remove a marine head and replace it with a porta-potty. Is there anything we should know in particular about this so that we don't sink the boat? Is there something we have to permanently seal? Also, you should know the boat has not been hauled out and is in the water. Thanks for any help on this...just a little nervous.

totally agree with specks & reds, and don't forget the intake valve also. most all marine heads use the water the boat is floating in to fill the bowl and flush.......... if you have a holding tank, don't forget to get it pumped out before you start working on this project

Thanks for your excellent advice! The 'job' is done, the boat is afloat and we feel much more comfortable with our new head. :)
