it was a really nice looking Boston Whaler Dauntless 17ft...and it had NO oar locks!!!!!! it had a 175 hp outboard

and it was only $3,000 or so!!

I don't think it is a repair, it looks like he had a short shaft motor and a long shaft boat, so he jerry rigged it up so he could use the short shaft!

I think these had no neutral. You started them in one direction for forward and started the engine backwards for reverse. Scary! Imagine navigating a tight marina. Dock buster is a fitting nickname.
