I'm wanting to install a ski pole into my boat. But I've really go no idea how. None of the shops down here where I live seem to stock anything, so the internet so far is my main source.

I've seen the Insanity Wakeboard Pylons/Towers ( http://www.insanitywakeboardpylons.com/insanitypylons/products00.html )which are removable and an easy enough concept, but I have an issue in that the base of the skipole has to rest against something immovable on the boat.

Then there's also permanent mounted poles, which I would prefer, this is a local Australian company - http://www.fluidcore.com.au/pages/highpoles.html . But I can't figure out how I would mount that base in my boat.

Photos of the back of my boat:

Any ideas/thoughts?

Go to the iBoats marine store, type in "ski pylon" and you'll get a page full of choices that look like they would work easily with your boat.

Seen.
I don't understand how they mount on though?
These ones, http://www.iboats.com/Swivl_Eze_Run...26382790--**********.486073004--view_id.38614 or http://www.iboats.com/Swivl_Eze_Sta...226382790--**********.486073004--view_id.3954 , would be good as it's the tallest out of the lot. But how does it fit on?

Re: Installing a ski pole

looks like they just screw into the floor. not ideal but i've ridden behind pylons like that and they still work.

under a load, the rear 2 legs will be doing most of the work. a factory install would include securing the pylon to the stringers but i doubt you want to go there.

pylons or poles that use straps to the bow are similar. the strap takes most of the stress when there's a load. the cable can get old if you have an open bow though.

can't beat a tower.
