Is the keelguard worth it?

well this morning we took the boat out.. concrete ramp. coming close to that ramp to pick people up was freaking me out.. so im looking into purchasing a KeelGuard over winter .. but i wanna know what brand is best and what you guys think of them. like em? hate em?

I just put mine on a couple weeks ago, and love it. You never have to think about the sand or small rocks on the beach.
Installation with the Keelguard was a cinch with the included DVD.

I would not pull up on a concrete ramp.... It will help but won't last long.

haha im not doing that.. no i ask about the ramp cuz today at the lake in town its a concrete ramp . its deep.. well like i said before when i went to pick people up they were standing on the ramp. well i wouldnt pull up on it.. i was worried bout the keel just bumping up against the ramp.. i wont be beaching it on a ramp

In the case of an accidental bump yes it can save your keel. :) I have a couple on a Seacat although I have yet to beach it. It saved a lot of wear on my 19' Cuddy in the past. Now I have a Pontoon and don't beach at all.

Brand new and I am scared.
