Rebuild 1979 225 Johnson O/B

I just inheritted a 23' Anacapri w/ a 1979 225 Johnson (Serial#G02566515 Model #VJ2255PLESS). Is there a rebuild kit for this motor and is it worth doing???? I am now living way beyond my means and need to find a way to bring piece of mind when this vessel is used.....short of a new motor.....anyone know how much a rebuild would cost??
