    Examine the hull lines in profile and you will see a subtle hook. Which does help keep the bow down. And perform well with less power. Unfortunately many, many boaters assume hook is always a defect. Not true, it can be beneficial, and is designed into some hulls. Though the designed in version will not look exactly like the popular idea of what hook is thought to be. Different priorities for different brands.

      Of course there are drawbacks, or everybody would have copied this. Kind of the same drawback as if you left your tabs slightly down at all times. Not optimum at high speeds.
