  • lost my boat key plan of action?

    I want to get on the lake this weekend but i lost my boat key last night what do i do to fix it so I can still get out there?

    Replace the switch...it will come with two new keys.
    Takes 10 minutes tops.

        what motor what boat. johnson/evinrude, have a key code on switch, as i believe does merc.

            If you have a boat shop nearby you could check with them.They carry and sell keys for alot of different year motors.I work part time at one and we have lots of them.They cost about 4 bucks and alot less trouble.

                          lol there is a another switch to get power flowing thats hidden....LOL yeah good point...and for bomar I will get a picture up of how nice it looks!!! And i did take your advice on the rot... the transom was fine I tapped into good wood several times and dry shavings

                            boat motors are the easiest thing to hot wire. A lost key or not key would not stop most. Of course, you know that...
