  • Wrapping Steering Cable around Drum!! Help!!!

I have a 1969 McKee Craft.... with drum and cable steering ...both cables run down the starboard side of the boat... my question is: when the cable gets to the drum is it two separate cables or is one looped into the drum... and how do I rewrap this thing????? Thanks

      The technique

If the cables run down one side of the boat one end will have to longer as it needs to run to other side of the boat and back to the motor.

You should just change this to a push/pull cable though and just be done with it. Lots less maintenance and stuff to keep track of.

Sorry here is the start of the site.
