Re: stainless hand rail polish/protector
My boat is a 1980 Aluminum Runabout and it still looks very good.
My Bow Rails are aluminum and I use a product called Aluminum Jelly and it very good at removing white rust and restoring the shine.
On the Stainless Steel I use a product called soap and water. Actually mostly just Fresh Water spray and dry. It is very good at cleaning.
After cleaning I use a Teflon cleaning boat wax from West Marine or starbright. I do that maybe twice a year. It just makes the Water bead up and wipe off better.
I use this on the Cleats, Bow and Stern EYES and Bennett Trim tabs.
My boat spends half of it time in the Pacific Ocean Saltwater.
The Stainless Steel holds up very well if you spray it down with fresh water and dry after every Saltwater trip.
