Transducer on pontoon

I have a Pleasure Island 21' pontoon, with a depth/fish finder transducer mounted on the 'step' on one of the pontoons. Anytime I get up to a reasonable speed, the bubbling off the pontoon causes a loss of data for the fish finder. Any suggestions for a decent location for this? Any other solutions?

Isn't there a bracket on the back of one or both of the pontoons? If not, add one. There are lots of adhesives that can be used to secure a bracket or a local welder with aluminum experience can weld one on for you. Just stop at any dealer and look at a new pontoon.
