Stearns X-3 Towable Problem

Saved up my cash and tried to buy the best - the single person X-3 towable. Rides great except for one big problem, a constant spray of water in the face while riding it. The spray is so bad that we don't even use it, my kids don't like the idea of using goggles!

I have a fish & ski with an outboard and use a harness, but that doesn't seem to help. Haven't tried a tow hitch and don't really want any permanent attached (I like to ski AND fish!).

Anybody have any ideas?

sit further back on it. you are suppose to get wet, and go fast enough to get it to plane. you spend all this money on these things, we had more fun on an old tractor inner tube, than these new 3-400 dollar things.

If it is because of the rope being in the water, then you may need to get a pole. There are many available that can easily be removed when not in use.​
