If you trailer the boat should be no problem at all. Good to rinse with fresh water when you come out an certainly flush the engine.

If you plan to leave it in a slip for a long time then there things you should do.

I have used aluminum boats in the salt for years. A normal soap & rinse after the days fun is all that is needed.

Just dont leave it after you pull it out. A good rinse will do the trick.

Re: Aluminum boat in saltwater

I have had two AL boats, all salt water use. 1. a 1968 Starcraft (Painted) still in use by a friend, 2. 1995 Fisher (unpainted) still in use by myself. Both have been moored for two months at a time, but pulled and scrubbed a couple times a season, (not bottom painted).
Still going strond and look good!

Go hit the water and have some fun, fresh or salt!

Hope this helps
