Hi all, I am new to the forum and it seems like a great resource. I have a 1973 Chrysler Bass Runner 16 ft boat. It has a Chrysler 35HP Outboard motor on the back with a throttle control on the right side, and a lever to turn right or left, mounted on the left side of the boat. <br /><br />I want to convert this steering lever into a steering wheel and mount it to a half console of some sort. Is this possible to do for a few hundred dollars? It appears the current steering lever is a simple cable that pulls the motor left or right. I want to put the wheel next to the throttle so I can run the boat easier. Basically a modification of sorts. Click on link below to see what I want to do.
