Besides the regal Ventura 8.3SE what other 25' plus bowriders are out there. Budget is about $16,000, so yes we are looking at used.

We love the lay out of the ventura just want to see what other types would work for us.

It seems that for your price range in a boat that size, you would either need to get very lucky, or buy a boat that needs a lot of work.

agreed in a boat that size, $16k is a project boat..... or a good down payment

Have you seen these boats yourself? Boats for sale always look good in pictures...

No one wants you to pay more than you need for a boat. But that price point for a large bowrider will not often get you a clean, solid boat...

All 3 of them appear to be well kept. All you can do is travel the East coast from NY to NC to Fl to look at them. No matter which one you end liking you will need to do a sea trial. That may not happen in NY this time of year and maybe not in NC.

I picked up the 1995 Cobalt 252 in my sig for $11k. Needed a few things that got the total "in" price up to your budget but it's a great boat. Keep your eyes out for the right deal and it will come along.

Those boats all look decent. Just have to go figure out if any of them are as nice as the pictures. 90's boats tended to have a lot more wood construction and features than 2000's boats when other materials were more prevelant. Boats like those though would have been expensive compared to their 18 foot counterparts. Makes me wonder if they got better care just due to how expensive they must've been.

3, that look like they don't come with trailers ,add at least 3-4 grand for one. All saltwater and none say if they have a closed or raw water cooling system. Fla/NYC and Carolina ,pretty spread out ,not something your going to drive to and inspect without spending some more cash, along with a survey.

I have figured on selling my boat with trailer. I will be using sale of my boat to offset newer boat and trailer cost.
