Prop spinning in the current

Make sure it's in reverse and not forward otherwise the dog gears will ratchet assuming the current is bow first.

Ah...never thought of that. Not sure the current is strong enough for that, but haven't watched it for more than 30 secs or so when in full flow and in gear.
I'll do just that Bruce. A good point.

That would be worse than leaving it in neutral if the current was actually fast enough.

True...glad you mentioned this. It's in forward gear just now and there will be a mega current. There has been massive rain fall into the Loch and the river will be running hard. It's after midnight here so will have to wait until tomorrow....sleepless night ahead...thanks Brice ! Haha.
