The Fishfly Hatch

The fishflies have hatched here in Gibraltar Michigan. My boat is covered with them. The marina has turned off all the lights here to cut down on them but my being aboard with my interior lights on has drawn them to my boat.

Looks like I will be washing my boat later today to get rid of them. After today I will not be back to my boat until next Monday. I am hoping that the weather cooperates and I can head up-river to watch the Detroit/Windsor Freedom Festival Fireworks.

Oh I love fishfries.....oh....wait....you....said fishflies. No so much on fishflies. But since they are hatched now, you could problem catch a lot of fish with surface lures mimicking fishflies. I bet the fish are gobbling them up. Are the anything like mayflies? Post a picture or three.

I think fishflies, mayflies and shadflies are similar depending on locale.
