Hello,

I'm installing my new Raymarine fishfinder and have one last obstacle to overcome. The high speed fairing block is all cut and ready to install. It's the blue "plastic like" one they say is "high impact polymer". The directions say use "marine sealant". All the tubes of Boat-life I looked at said not to use with plastic. What do I use? I damaged some glass removing the old setup as 5200 was all over it. I'm wondering if I should 5200 the block and use Life-caulk or something on the bronze transducer in case I ever want to remove it. Not sure if a reaction will take place if I use 2 different sealants. I don't mind making the fairing block a part of my hull but may want to remove the ducer someday? Recomendations for bonding plastic to fiberglass? And the bronze to the plastic and glass? Thanks guys.....

I would use 5200,soft.There are two types.Use acetone to clean up the old 5200.Don't get it on the transduce pickup, just use it on the bronze part.
