I'll do last year since technically I haven't spent a dime this year...

NYS Trailer Inspection and brake job - pads were worn - $300
Repack bearings after caliper didn't completely release during 4 hr trip to family vacation and new bearing caps - $290
Replacing wiring that fried after trailer was picked up from marina - $40
Repack of bearings again, replace caliper that was shot - found on way back from vacation - $400

So...what, $1130? On a boat that was used for a week.

Won't let me edit my post above so....

Recouped all of the above by trading boat in on my new 2017 Chaparral. Actually got some money back which came in handy...

New 6 bolt spare tire 225/75R15... $95 shipped
Trips to Homely Despots to get hardware to convert Fulton spare tire carrier (kept from my Four Winns) from 4-5 bolt to 6 bolt...$36

Still not enamored with the dinky LED markers on the new trailer so those are getting replaced.

Bought 1976 Aristocraft nineteen, not running:$400
New points, condenser, coil:$50+/- to make it run
Rewire trailer, new lights:$60
Impellor and housing kit :$55
Title transfer :$75
Registration: $40
Used fish finder :$25
Gas (so far): $35

SOLD 12' aluminum v-bottom and trailer for $800, so I'm ahead so far

Edit to add I'm a mechanic by trade so no labor costs, lives in my barn so no storage costs. Not willing to figure in tow vehicle gas, my one ton gets 7-8 mpg on a good day empty, haven't figured mpg towing boat. Closest lake is Erie, 25 miles each way.

its gonna be a expensive year (new boat) ...but I always figure in what I call the fun factor..meaning what it would cost to entertain myself for the hours and weekend if I wasn't on my boat .. I live 30 min from the lake so travel is not a issue and we do a lot of cove relaxing .. so when I add it all up its really a bargain to take the boat out and maintain ,insurance.. food ,cold ones .plus the quality of your time on the water for a full day ..try taking a family to the mall and a movie for a afternoon .. that's damn near a boat payment right there ...
