Anyone using them to secure things on your boat?

How well do they hold things? How are they holding up?

Pretty simply. The long "lever" is just a flexible gate to the inside of the clamp

Well that seems too simple. What are all the protruding nubs for? :noidea:

I'd guess for hanging junk around the clamp?

OP here, I think the nubs are: a) for "buckling" the latch to, b) to give each arm flexibility, c) to make them look "tactical"

There are video "reviews" on the y-tube, etc. that show how to install them and how they clamp, and they do seem like they've got the good grip thing going--at least for hand tools in the shed. But no review I've yet seen or read indicates whether they can grip a wet pole during a pounding on a boat, whether they themselves STAY mounted to the console during that kind of abuse, whether they are quick n' easy to open when you need to grab a pole in an emergency, whether they hold up to UV exposure over the long run, whether they knock your knees or grab your fishing line while you're shuffling by them, etc., etc.

(These are all things I'd like to hear some first-hand experience about before counting on using 5 or 6 pair of these suckers to hold all my stuff!)
