I'm considering upgrading my boat to this 1994 dixie. It's at a marina about 1.5 hrs from me, but I drove up this.morning to check it out. Current owner has had it for 5 years, engine blew the first year he had it and he had a new Jasper rebuild installed.

Always stored and serviced at the marina who is brokering it, so I'm going to get a copy of all the service records. Floor is solid, I walked around the whole thing, opened every access hatch and storage compartment and poked around, no issues found. I checked the engine mounting point as best I could and the looked/felt solid as well. It's has a 4.3 mercruiser and out drive, I'm not real familiar with them, always had outboards. I'm asumming since the engine is just a marine version on the GM 4.3 parts are readily available, but what about the outdrive? Is it some one year only super rare model and all the parts are NLA and made of unobtanium? The out drive oil reservoir was almost bone dry so I'm not sure if that is sign of an issue?

The owner bought a newer bigger boat last year so they sound motivated to sell. The were asking 5k, just dropped the price to 3995, I may offer 3500 pending a successful water test and see if that sticks.

Anyone see any issues I'm overlooking?
