I have owned a 1959 StarCraft 14 ft. aluminum boat that originally had the front deck on top (so it was a two bench speedboat style) with oak gunnels and an oak transom for approx. 15 yrs now. I have removed the deck in order to open up the bow and put a seat in. The bow is a deep "V" but drops lower underneath than the remainder of the bottom. I was told that this style of boat was used for racing. It did have a 1958 or so 22 hp Kiekahfer motor. My question is what style of emblem was on the boat? Were they the cast metal or plastic. I have obtained a set of plastic reproduction STARCRAFT emblems with the arrow through the word. Just was wondering if this is what was on the boat? Thanks for any info on this.

If you go to fiberglassics.com there is an extensive library of aluminum and glass boats.

Welcome aboard,

I don't think I want to see pics of a 59 Ski Champ dismembered with a seat in the front.
