Could someone tell me the approximate year of the boat, I'm being told it is a 75 but my research shows it's some where in the middle 60's.

Thanks for your help

HIN?

No, not until 1974 did they use HIN.

My 1960 Glastron Fireflite had a ser# stamped into the aluminum C channel trim between the splashwell and transom (runs under the OB) as did the 60 Fireflite parts boat I bought.

But best I can tell, its a sort of random number, no indication about year or what model like a HIN would

No, based on just 1 pix that doesn't show interior, more details or whether the motor runs well

Remotely via the internet isnt ideal to assess a boat.for sale or purchase.

Its 'worth' what a buyer and seller can agree.on for price.

Selling or buying?

Well the wife really liked it so we bought it, It is all original, never painted, interior is original, fading on the tops of the seat backs; I'm going to see if I can bring it back or get it dyed to match, I don't really want to replace the vinyl. Anyone bring faded vinyl back?

Congrats! Looks nice from the 50 foot mark so to speak.

Where are you located?

Have you found these guys yet..:

Even if you are not in Wisconsin or Michigan they will want to hear about your find, and tons of Glastron knowledge there as well. Lots here also but more focused there.

My 1980 SSV167 is all original also, I really like it.

Good luck!

I can understand you not wanting to remove or change the vinyl on the seats. But dyeing the vinyl may not be the only thing to fix. The seams and thread used has also taken a toll from exposure. So even if you can get the color to match, how much longer will the seams hold up? JMHO!
