MinnKota Deckhand 40 pro/con

I'm a newbie here so hope I'm asking this question in the right forum I have a 18' bass boat, and I'm considering installing an electric winch, since my wife is getting danged tired of being the anchor-woman Looking hard at the MinnKota Deckhand 40. The reviews are pretty good from what I've read at Amazon. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum has or has had, any first hand experience with this particular winch ? Would appreciate some input.

Yep... They work fine... I put one on dad's bass boat... He loves it

I put switches at the front and at the helm for him.

Any chance you can post pictures? What kind of anchor did you use??

I 'spose I could trudge through the snow and go to dad's place to take a pic but it wouldn't really help you.... it's screwed down to the deck overhanging the side of the bow.... It's a fluted mushroom type anchor
